Quaint, intimate, and heart-warming are a few words to describe Hayley’s precious, tight-knit wedding at Cornucopia at Oldfield Bed and Breakfast.
I must admit, I am a little behind on this post considering that Hayley’s wedding was in FEBRUARY. Just consider this post a refreshing glass of something cold and frosty during the sweltering heat and humidity we are experiencing in Connecticut right now.
I arrived late morning to Cornucopia and was greeted by Hayley’s sweet family before meeting her in her suite to get her ready for her ceremony. We quickly moved to her suite’s spacious bathroom, which had an abundance of beautiful, natural light – perfect lighting for hair and makeup! We spent the next hour and a half chatting, sipping coffee, and getting Hayley ready for the beautiful day ahead of her. Every so often, mom or dad would pop in to see how things were going and to ask Hayley if there was anything that they could do for her.
I think the most precious moments are when a mother or father of the bride come in to see their daughter getting ready for her wedding. Seeing a parent watch their little girl transform into bride, right before their eyes, while she sits in my makeup chair always brings tears to my eyes.
After hair and makeup were complete and her birdcage veil was secured in place, Hayley dressed in her gown and prepared to take some photos before walking down the aisle.
Congratulations Hayley and Darrell!
